Biophilic Planning

This comprehensive plan includes references to biophilic design it the Environmental Protection Section. Biophilic design is defined in 609.14a, with the government planning to incorporate nature into the built environment to promote well-being. Biophilic principles are also incorporated into the Urban Design; Parks, Recreation, and Open Space; and Community Services and Facilities elements of this comprehensive plan.

Historic Preservation

The city’s comprehensive plan features a historic preservation element. It provides an overview of the current historic preservation program and identifies policies and actions related to historic property recognition and protection and integration with economic development. Several maps show the city’s historic districts, structures, and sites.
