This web page introduces the Economic Census, a program of the U.S. Census Bureau and a common public data source for housing supply planning. It collects information from businesses of all sizes related to NAICS and NAPCS classification codes, operating expenses, distribution range, inventory, number of employees, and sales and revenue, as well as other variables, every five years. The data can be used to better understand workforce housing needs.
