Green Stormwater Infrastructure

This model bylaw provides a template to help municipalities in Massachusetts draft regulations that encourage low-impact development (LID) tactics in site planning and post-development stormwater runoff management. It defines key terminology, outlines permit procedures and requirements, presents criteria and performance standards, and describes specifications on enforcement, certification, inspection, and maintenance. The model bylaw also includes an example system of LID credits and incentives with relevant design diagrams as an appendix.
