Green Stormwater Infrastructure

This model bylaw provides a template to help municipalities in Massachusetts draft parking area design standards that use low-impact development (LID) tactics. It identifies vegetated swales, rain gardens, permeable pavers, infiltration facilities, and constructed wetlands as acceptable LID tactics and compares criteria to that of conventional parking area design. The model also describes site plan review standards for distinguishing LID parking areas.
