Urban Heat Resilience

This briefing paper contains several strategies to help communities address the effects of extreme heat. Some of the solutions explored include raising awareness and preparing for extreme heat, increasing canopy cover and vegetation, installing cool pavements, and choosing cool roofs. It also gives an overview of the costs and benefits of each of the solutions and offers implementation examples.
