Biophilic Planning

This subarea plan for the Pentagon City neighborhood incorporates biophilic design into the public space section. Section 3.1 of the plan introduces biophilic design and five indicators for biophilic design success. Section 3.2 outlines the policy for increase of tree canopy and biophilic plantings. Section 3.4 creates a new public space, The Green Ribbon, which is a network of biophilic walking paths in Pentagon City and adjacent neighborhoods.
