This article highlights the Sustainable Thinking and Expression on Public Space (STEPS) Emerging ARTivist program that supports youth from diverse, low-income communities to improve public spaces through art. Projects include the World’s Tallest Mural and Fence Reclamation Project. The article discusses lessons learned from these projects and how youth were engaged in every step of the process.
