Youth in Planning

This article is about the Nashville Youth Design Team (NYDT) and their work in centering youth voices in decision-making processes. NYDT’s Dream City Workshop is a two-hour workshop for youth to create a city that meets their needs. The article includes strengths and weaknesses of the workshop, evaluates their goals to address structural racism and work towards health equity, and recommendations for future research.
