Youth in Planning

Long Beach Community Design Center is a nonprofit organization that provides design services and engagement tools for low-income and underserved communities to create their vision. The page includes projects and engagement with youth in Long Beach, California. One of the projects include a hands-on design activity where youth built their ideal downtown and identified areas of improvement for the Downtown Long Beach Specific Plan. Other forms of engagement include walking tours, youth festivals, Youth Strategic Plan events, and mapping projects.
